Working with footfall specialists Springboard, Shrewsbury BID monitors pedestrian numbers in Shrewsbury with two footfall cameras. The cameras are based on Pride Hill (by the entrance to the Pride Hill Shopping Centre) and on High Street (by West Brom).

Reviewing Shrewsbury’s footfall for the year to date so far (January 2018 – June 2018) shows that footfall in Shrewsbury increased 1.9%, which is favourable when compared to a 2.4% decrease for the West Midlands, a 5.7% decrease for Market Towns and a 3.1% decrease across the UK.
