Event Details

This year Shropshire Council's Business Continuity Awareness Week will be taking place 13th-17th May 2019 with the theme of “investing in resilience”.

Once again, Shropshire Council will be offering local businesses the opportunity to participate, free of charge, in an exercise taking place during the week which coincides with the undertaking of a national exercise. The purpose of the exercise is to give local businesses the opportunity to test their business continuity management arrangements in a safe exercise environment. This enables gaps in planning and resilience to be identified.

The format of the exercise is as follows:

• Information (called ‘Injects’) will be emailed out to participants with two or three questions on how they would respond;

• Participants consider the information and the questions and respond by return;

• There are 2/3 injects per day between Monday and Friday;

• At the end of the exercise all participants will be notified that the exercise has ended – ENDEX;

• A hot debrief will be forwarded at the end of the exercise to see what went well with your arrangements, what didn’t go so well and what could be learnt going forward.

All responses are collated and anonymised and a Post Exercise Report & Action Plan is provided to all participants.

Shropshire Council would like to start a list of participants for this year's exercise so if you or someone in your organisation/company would like to take part, please send their name and email address by Friday 3rd May 2019 to: Jane.cooper@shropshire.gov.uk
