Lighting in Shrewsbury 

Appointment of Preferred Supplier

Shrewsbury BID are seeking a preferred supplier to work with on planning, sourcing and installing small lighting projects in a number of locations around Shrewsbury town centre on an ongoing basis.

Example projects might include:

  • Street-specific year round festoon lighting displays
  • Uplighting on buildings
  • Animation of town through lighting for annual events e.g. Christmas

Requirements

  • Significant experience (10 years plus) of installing electrical equipment in a busy, town centre environment.
  • Significant experience of working in historic environments, sympathetically installing historically appropriate equipment/fixings.
  • Knowledge and experience of pull testing. Authority to issue electrical certificates.
  • Knowledge to assess streets and recommend a range of potential product options to select from.

Applicants will be scored on:

  • Local knowledge 30%
  • Experience of working in a historic environment 20%
  • Cost 30%
  • Qualifications 20%
