(APPLICATIONS NOW CLOSED) Artists Sought for New Mini Mural Trail in Shrewsbury Town Centre

Background

Shrewsbury BID has successfully secured funding through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund to enhance walking and cycling routes in Shrewsbury town centre. This initiative aims to improve the overall appeal of walking and cycling routes in the town by creating a more vibrant and visually appealing environment. As part of this project, we are inviting artists to create mini murals on selected items of street furniture, such as bollards and signal boxes.

The Offer

We are seeking artists to design and install mini murals under the theme ‘Myths, Legends, and Folk Tales of Shropshire’ Artists are welcome to propose their preferred tale for interpretation, but please note that Shrewsbury BID may need to assign alternative tales to avoid duplication. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your artistic talents while contributing to the cultural fabric of Shrewsbury.

These murals will form a new trail in the town centre designed to celebrate the county’s culture, history, and creativity.
