Shrewsbury Sessions

Shrewsbury Sessions are informal themed networking events – designed to provide relevant and useful information for town centre businesses – and are an opportunity to hear about topics affecting town centres.

October Shrewsbury Sessions – ‘The Evolution of the High Street’ – Focus: Experiential Shopping

At the first session we looked at the evolution of the high street with a focus on experiential shopping, and future sessions will focus on subjects such as The Big Town Plan, rough sleeping, the environment and more. Businesses also have the chance to informally network with fellow businesses and learn more about current BID projects during the sessions.

For our first session we welcomed Dr Steve Millington – Director at the Institute of Place Management as speaker with the theme ‘The Future High Street – Experiential Shopping’, for updates on future sessions check back here. We’ll also be sending out notifications and invitations to future sessions so keep your eyes peeled to book your place!

April Shrewsbury Sessions – ‘The Future of Public Space’ – Focus: Castle Quarter Vision

The next session we’ll be looking at the broader debate around public space and looking at exemplary projects from other places that could be translated to Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury BID will be joined by Shrewsbury Town Council and Big Town Plan Design partners LDA to learn more about ‘The Future of Public Space’, with an exclusive first look at design proposals for Castle Street’s future development.

You can also enjoy a complimentary drink and nibbles while you hear about current Shrewsbury BID projects and plans for 2020.
