Shrewsbury BID is a business led partnership dedicated to making Shrewsbury a better place to live, work, visit & invest.
Together with our members and partners we’re investing £1.6m into projects which benefit the town and the business community.
Our priorities include major destination marketing campaigns, significant cost savings for businesses, and strategic development work, ensuring the best possible town centre environment in which business can flourish.
Shrewsbury BID was elected by town centre businesses in 2014 for a five year term working across four project areas:
- Access and Car Parking
- Backing Business
- Marketing, Profile & Promotion
- Drive & Direction
The budgets and action plans for each project area are overseen by Working Groups which include BID Directors and co-opted members of the Business community.

BID Members receive regular updates on the our work and progress against our business plan priorities. We engage our Members on a wide range of town centre issues and invite them to get involved in the BID’s work.
Shrewsbury BID is solely accountable to its members and is governed by a voluntary board of Directors from a representative range of sectors in the BID area.
The Board meet quarterly to help ensure the priorities of businesses are being met and to monitor performance and delivery. See Key Documents for Annual Reports, Accounts.
Shrewsbury BID is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and gained British BIDs Accreditation in 2016.
