A one-day training course, funded by the UKSPF Work in Shrewsbury project, providing participants with a mental health first aid training certificate. Certificates are valid for 3 years.

This course is designed for people who want to receive training in Emergency Mental Health First Aid.

A range of subjects are covered including:
What is First Aid for Mental Health?

Identifying mental health conditions

Providing advice and starting a conversation

Drugs and alcohol

First Aid for Mental Health action plan

First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace

TIMINGS: Starting at 9.30 am (9.15 am arrival for registration please) until 4/4.30pm at 1st Floor, 11a Fish Street, Shrewsbury (use St Vincent’s entrance).

There are limited spaces available on courses, and they will be offered on a first come, first served basis to Shrewsbury-based businesses with a maximum of three people per business.

N.B. These courses often fill up quickly and often have a waiting list. If you book but are then unavailable to attend the course, please let [email protected] know as soon as possible so your space can be offered to another business. If you do not cancel a booked space but fail to arrive on the day, you may be prevented from booking future training sessions for up to three months.
