Promoting & Animating

‘Alternative Giving’ windows are in place with the purpose of diverting on street giving to charities who support rough sleepers, giving a boost to their services while also making begging a less lucrative prospect in the town centre. Reducing begging helps to reduce street income for rough sleepers, which encourages individuals to access rehabilitation services that are available to them. The aim of the alternative giving windows is to contribute to reducing the number of rough sleepers in the town centre, therefore reducing associated crime and anti-social behaviour.
