Original Shrewsbury Grant
Promoting & Animating

In 2023, Shrewsbury BID was able to fund a grant to support projects and events which helped promote and improve the experience of the town centre.

Original Shrewsbury grants ranged from £500 to £5,000, with a total amount of £10,000 available. We worked with organisers bringing new projects and activities to the town to grow the events calendar for visitors and locals alike, increasing footfall and dwell time in the town. Many of the events we supported have now become annual favourites.

Events supported in 2023 included:

  • Shrewsbury Pride
  • Refugee Week
  • Piano Day
  • John Weaver Dance Festival
  • Sunday Beer Tour
  • Making Our Mark workshop series

We are not currently able to run a grant programme, and will update this page in future if the opportunity becomes available.

It was the most amazing success with some incredible feedback as well as a fantastic amount raised for charity so thank you for your support.

Tina Boyle, Secret Arts Sale

Events funded in 2022 included

  • Shrewsbury Arts Trail
  • The Hive Jubilee Street Party
  • Secret Art Sale
  • Loopfest
