Promoting & Animating

Shrewsbury BID is raising the profile of the town centre through the Original Shrewsbury website, as a vibrant, welcoming and unique place to visit and spend time in.

The Original Shrewsbury website is the number one destination site for people searching for the county town and received 320,000 visits in 2022.

We’ve worked with industry-leading destination website specialists to help us create a website which puts Shrewsbury among the best in the UK, providing an even better way for visitors to discover all our town has to offer and for businesses to reach potential customers.

The Original Shrewsbury website is home to the most expansive event listings for the town centre, as well as over 400 business profiles which average over 205,000 views a year. In 2023 we launched a new Offers and Competitions page and a dedicated jobs listings page.

Throughout the year we run a number of seasonal campaigns to encourage visitors to the town, these are supported via our social media presence and PR activity.
