Shrewsbury BID is working with Full Fibre on a much-needed project to vastly improve the connectivity available to businesses in the town centre.
Internet speeds within the loop are among the worst anywhere in Shropshire due to the ageing copper infrastructure and Shrewsbury BID members have regularly sought our help to resolve the problem.
This is an exciting development and comes just in time to help businesses adapt to online systems, which are crucial to the running of most businesses today. Ensuring that digital transactions are not hindered by poor connectivity is essential and better broadband will also improve efficiency for businesses across our town.
Even those that are paying exorbitant rents for a dedicated ‘leased line’ will be able to reduce their costs significantly with the availability of Full Fibre.
Installing the infrastructure
Full Fibre has identified buildings where wayleave permissions from the landlord are needed to install a small piece of equipment which would allow the property and their neighbours to access fibre to the property services.
