Pubwatch is a partnership run by members and administered by Shrewsbury BID.  Its aim is to make Shrewsbury a safer place to live in and visit.

Membership:

• If you are already a Shrewsbury BID member, being a member of Shopwatch is free.
• If you are not a Shrewsbury BID member, membership will cost £50/year (c.£1/week).
• Membership will either be billed with your radio (if you get one) or by Shrewsbury BID if not.

Benefits:

• Free 30-day radio trial (for purchase please see information below).
• DISC – mobile and desktop digital system for reporting crime and anti-social behaviour with offender gallery.
• Information sharing with West Mercia Police and Local Authorities weekly.
• Member forums and training.

Radio Hire and Purchase:

• Radio hire costs £4.50 per week. This is the equivalent of £234 per year.
• MRS Communications is the radio provider and we will get you in touch with them.
• MRS require a deposit of £150 – in two instalments of £75 – one when you sign up and one with your first bill .
• Shrewsbury BID has also negotiated a one-off cost of radio purchase is £320.47, plus delivery of £15.
• With hire you get a warranty, a radio replacement service and an upgrade of radio if the scheme upgrades
